Jerriah Marie
Founder, Doula, Student Midwife
Jerriah Marie is a doula, student midwife, and herbalist located in the twin cities. When she is not serving families in the birth space you can find her writing poetry, whipping up herbal remedies in her kitchen, and sharing cuddles with her daughter Leilani. Her passion for birth work began at age 5. After witnessing her aunt's stillbirth, she knew that changing the disparities around birth was her mission. As a young adult Jerriah was always deeply moved by birth and found her way supporting family members and friends during their labor. It wasn't until 2020, after the birth of her daughter, that this spark reignited back into her life and she dove deep into the meaningful work that she now does as a birth worker.
"I believe that Birth is sacred, and should be handled with intention. As a doula my approach is designed around assisting you in bringing your birth intentions to life, whatever that may look like for you and your family. Birth is such a special moment that many remember for the rest of their lives. My hope as your doula is to ensure you embark on the journey of parenthood feeling educated, supported, and empowered."

Tricia Alexander
Doula, Perinatal Educator, Licensed Dietician
Tricia has a background in nutrition and is a licensed dietitian. Her interests have always been centered around Black women and children with her research focusing on Black women’s body image and eating behaviors.
In summer of 2020, seeing the photo of Thema - a young, Black pregnant woman - at one of the D.C. marches for George Floyd and other Black lives gave her the push she needed to pursue her passion for birth work. It is important for her to engage with community in her work, and she was struggling to do so within the structure of higher education - which is steeped in racism, colorism, classism, and other forms of oppression. She has served 30 families on their birth journey so far and is eager to support her community in reclaiming their birth experiences.

Ebony L.W.S
Doula, Perinatal Educator, MSW
May God bless each and everyone of you! It is an honor and a blessing, to be apart of the Snuggle House Foundation!
I have been a certified/registered perinatal, labor/delivery, and postpartum Doula for about 2 years. I have had the privilege to support a few mama's and families as a Doula. It is exciting to encourage more mamas to activate the power they have within. Owning and embracing our God given gift to bear and birth children is a beautiful journey worth taking. One thing I have learned during my short time working with mama's is, noticing the signs of Perinatal or Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD's). I am interested in sharing my knowledge and skills to support mama's who struggle with PMADS. I have learned useful information about and trained other organizations on this topic.
I have recently received my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health-Social Work. Currently, I am studying to soon take my license exam and become a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW). My vast range of experience in social services has helped me learn many techniques, strategies, and ways to work with people who have different in belief systems, cultural preferences, and life experiences.
Being a mother of 1 amazing son and witnessing other mama's experience pregnancy, labor/delivery, and postpartum encouraged me to advocate and support Mamas. In my free time I enjoy organizing and decorating my apartment. I love spending time with my son, learning new things, and improving myself in many ways. I also pray and attend church often.
I look forward to Building and Bonding!

Liza Williamson
Doula, Perinatal Educator
Liza is a Birth, postpartum doula/educator and Lactation peer counselor in Northern Minnesota (Duluth). She decided this was her calling for life after having her own bundle and not being supported as she hoped. She really would have loved to have a doula and preferably someone who looked like her in the delivery room but two things 1 none of the doulas in my area looked like me (a woman of color) and 2 none of the doulas took insurance so she needed to pay out of pocket. So she decided to take the training to prepare herself for her birth then learned she had been doing this work majority of her life. When she is not in the delivery room she is teaching, chasing behind her 2 year old son or pouring intention candles. She loves all things natural and holistic and loves learning about astrology. She works in her community as a young mom educator and works with Minnesota prison doula program. She hopes with this path in life to be able to encourage, empower and educate the women of color in her community to have the best pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her long term goal is to become a Midwife and herbal medicine lady.

Kyliah Thompson
Full Spectrum Doula, MSW, LGSW
Kyliah is a trained Doula and Social Worker in the Twin Cities. She is currently an Elementary School Social Worker in North St. Paul. Although originally from the Chicagoland area, Kyliah has lived in different parts of the Midwest including St. Louis, MO and Duluth, MN. She is trained clinically as a Social Worker and brings all of her skills of advocacy, empathy, relationship-building, client focused care, and empowerment to her role as a Doula. Having worked in so many communities here in the Twin Cities and with survivors of violence while in St. Louis, Kyliah recognizes the importance of upholding one’s individual story and experience no matter where their journey has taken them. She came to birthwork recognizing the significant disparities in care for Black and Brown birthing families and wanting to provide care that is accessible and acknowledges history and culture.
As a Doula, Kyliah is trained in Perinatal Mental Health, Hypnobirthing, Grief and Reproductive Loss, and currently finishing a training on supporting body mechanics in pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Kyliah prioritizes ensuring that the families she supports feel safe not only physically, but emotionally as well as during their birthing times and beyond. She is trained and immersed in providing trauma sensitive care, child development, and mental wellness and believes it is ESSENTIAL to provide cultural conscious and congruent care that values and uplifts identity and experience. In her free time, you can find Kyliah binge watching her favorite tv shows, cooking or trying out new restaurants, or hanging out with her husband and dog, lovingly known as “Baby Moon”.
