Community Operations Coordinator
Meet Paulette Mosely — our vibrant and compassionate Community Operations Coordinator at Snuggle House Foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Saint Cloud State University, with an emphasis in Relational Conflict Management. Paulette is the first face you’ll see and the voice that warmly greets our clients, creating a safe and welcoming space from the very first interaction.
Her professional background is as diverse as its people, in which her focus centers around interpersonal relationships. After spending years in the corporate world of sales, Paulette brings with her a strong foundation in customer service, shaped by experiences in waitressing, hotel hospitality, insurance and marketing. No matter the setting, her passion for human connection and relational care has always shined through.
Paulette joined Snuggle House in a season of self-reflection and spiritual alignment. She recognized that the communities who look like her — who are too often underserved in healthcare — deserved more empathy, more representation, and more heart. In answering that call, she stepped into her purpose with clarity and courage.
Today, Paulette is more than a coordinator — she’s a bridge between intention and impact, helping build a world where care feels like coming home.

Kate Saumweber Hogan, Certified Professional Midwife, is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin and is honored to serve as a midwife and clinical director for the Snuggle House team, supporting community centered, relationship based care.
Kate’s midwifery career is built on years of experience attending births as a doula and midwifery student starting in 2004. She graduated from Bastyr University’s Department of Midwifery (formerly Seattle Midwifery School) in 2010 after completing extensive academic training and clinical experience, including a six-week international rotation at a birth site in Genova, Italy. Since founding a home birth midwifery practice in 2010, Kate has focused on supporting parents as the primary decision-makers for their birth experiences and creating a calm, family centered environment during labor and birth. She continues to provide personalized, community based midwifery care tailored to each family’s needs.
She is passionate about the natural process of pregnancy and birth, believing deeply in the intuitive wisdom of the body and the importance of informed choice. Kate values continuity of care and the relationships built with clients throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She prioritizes informed consent, helping clients navigate the many options and decisions they encounter along the way so they feel fully supported and grounded in their choices.
Kate has held leadership roles within the midwifery community, including serving on the Midwifery Advisory Council to the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (2012–2024) and as president of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (2016–2018). She is an active member of the Minnesota Council of Certified Professional Midwives (MCCPM), contributing to statewide standards of practice and collaborating with hospital providers and EMS through the outreach committee to improve continuity of care and transfer experiences. Kate has also served as Director of Clinical Operations at a local birth center and currently supports national quality standards as a staff member with the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC). She is a frequent speaker on midwifery care and collaborative transfers and an experienced preceptor to midwifery students now practicing as CPMs and LMs.
Kate is committed to serving families from a wide range of backgrounds and to strengthening pathways into midwifery for students from historically underrepresented communities. As a preceptor, she prioritizes mentorship, skill-building, and support for students with diverse lived experiences, with the goal of growing a midwifery workforce that better reflects and serves the communities seeking care. She believes expanding access to midwifery care includes both who is able to receive care and who is supported to provide it.
Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music, graduating magna cum laude from Ithaca College with a concentration in vocal performance and minors in women’s studies and integrative health studies. Her passion for music, integrative health, and community building continues to influence her holistic approach to midwifery.
She lives in South Minneapolis with her family and enjoys spending her free time outdoors, paddleboarding, sailing, running, skate skiing, and lounging in steam rooms and saunas. Kate’s favorite moments are those she shares with her three children, whether on outdoor adventures, enjoying board games and puzzles, or simply relaxing together.
